When You Bring Your Gift to the Altar (Genesis 33:1-20)
Joseph J Graber, July 16, 2017Part of the Genesis series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
As Jacob sojourned outside the land of Canaan, God repeatedly met him and revealed Himself to Jacob in multiple ways. But it was not until Jacob had met and reconciled with Esau that he voluntarily sought the Lord by building an altar. As long as he suffered from his guilty conscience of a rightful inheritance wrongfully gained he was not able to respond to God fully.
What stands between us and a full and free response to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
