The Dinah Incident (Genesis 34:1-31)
Joseph J Graber, July 23, 2017Part of the Genesis series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
When Jacob wrestled with God, his personal walk with God took on greater meaning and in many ways we could identify this as his 'salvation' moment. However, there is still a lot of bad fruit in his life. His sons know something of the Covenant God has made with them, but they do not have hearts that are turned toward God. Jacob's interaction with his daughter Dinah and his sons reveal some of his failures as a father and a godly man.
What are we passing on to our children- an knowledge of external religious activity or a heart turned toward the Living God?
