Conference on Marriage and Parenting Teens
Norm Wakefield – The calling of God in Norm’s life has given him a heart for men and their families. His calling as a child of God has birthed an emphasis on the gospel and relationship with Jesus Christ. It forms the basis for wisdom in all aspects of life and is the strength of Elijah Ministries. As a husband, Norm longs to see marriages that glorify God. His calling as a father of four, has given him a heart for family. When God called Norm into the pastoral ministry, God led him to disciple and encourage men. Leading people into the presence of God has come from his calling as a worship leader. The desire of his heart is to see God glorified in His people as they apply God’s Word to their lives.

The Father’s Heart Revealed: What are the most powerful, encouraging words a dad can hear or say? Saturday Morning, 9:00 am– Sept 12
Time of Worship
Living from an Eternal Perspective: What makes your family distinct from other families is the perspective from which we teach and live – an eternal perspective. You’ll learn how to live in heaven while you are on the earth and bring the presence and power of God near to your children as you live your life before them and teach them daily.
Saturday Noon – Lunch provided
Saturday Afternoon– 1:00 pm Sept 12
The Power of Humility in Parenting: When parents display humility, their children are attracted not only to them, but to Jesus Christ. You’ll be encouraged as you see the power of humility in the lives of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul.
Saturday Afternoon – 3:00 pm Sept 12
Ears to Hear: A Foundational Lesson for Life: Jesus often repeated, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Why did He say that? Norm will answer this question as well as explain one of the most foundational teachings given by the Lord Jesus. Understanding this lesson is the key to not raising deluded children who know facts, but don’t know Christ.
Sunday Morning – 10:00 am, Sept 13 – Church Sermon at Living Water Fellowship
3101 S. Golden Rd.
Golden, CO 80401
Worship
Live to Love: When we come to stand before Christ, our confidence before Him will be based on how His love has been expressed through our lives. Because of this, living to love is important. Most know they ought to love, but many struggle with loving others. Norm explains how God’s kind of love can flow through our lives and what hinders the outpouring of His love.
Other Information
Mission – The mission of Elijah Ministries is to build the Kingdom of God and the local church by equipping men and their families to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Presently, this mission is accomplished through speaking at men’s, family, and couples’ retreats, church conferences, homeschool conventions, as well as audio and video resources, and printed materials.
History – The ministry was begun in 1994 while Norm Wakefield was pastor of Coast Community Church in Fountain Valley, California. In 1999, Elijah Ministries was organized with its own board of directors and now functions as a distinct non-profit ministry.
Doctrinal Statement – Believing that the Bible is our rule for faith and practice, all aspects of the ministry, from its organization to the content of messages, are founded upon God’s Word and consistent with the Philadelphia Confession of Faith, Having stated above, without diminishing the importance of holding to sound doctrine, it is affirmed that the basis for fellowship between believers is not doctrine, but faith and love in Jesus Christ.
